That's right! Sonic the Hedgehog's new game has been confirmed as a brand new 2d scale game! 2D! Could this be the game that critics everywhere have been eagerly awaiting?
Scheduled for 2010, and working name: 'Project Needlemouse', which to the young and misinformed is an homage to 'Mr Needlemouse', the original name Yuji Naka had given our side scrolling hero, before he was re-dubbed 'Sonic'.
Seriously... if Knuckles is playable in this game, I am gonna freak. (In a good way).
For mine, as a long standing fan of the blue blur, having played the Genesis roots, watched the Jaleel White dubbed television shows, played almost every Sonic title to date, and (for a time) reader of the Archie continuity, you can understand why the prospect of this new game excites me.
Jesus, I AM getting old...
